2023-09-22recipes: Drop remaining PR values from recipesRichard Purdie
We've been removing PR values from recipes at upgrade time for a while. In general anyone maintaining a binary distro would end up having to curate these themselves so the values in OE-Core aren't really that useful anymore. In many ways it makes sense to clear out the remaining ones (which are mostly for 'config' recipes that are unlikely to increase in PV) and leave a clean slate for anyone implementing a binary distro config. References are left in meta-selftest since the tests there do involve them and their removal upon upgrade. 2023-03-26abi_version/sstate: Handle pkgconfig output changes and bump output versionsRichard Purdie
A recent package.py change has highlighted some corruption issues with -dev pkgconfig package dependencies. Bump the output versions to trigger a rebuild and ensure everything is consistent. Take the opportunity to also drop all HASHEQUIV_HASH_VERSION entries since the main version is changing. 2021-08-02Convert to new override syntaxRichard Purdie
This is the result of automated script conversion: scripts/contrib/convert-overrides.py <oe-core directory> converting the metadata to use ":" as the override character instead of "_". (From OE-Core rev: 42344347be29f0997cc2f7636d9603b1fe1875ae) Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2021-02-26fonts: Bump HASHEQUIV_HASH_VERSION after rpmdeps changeRichard Purdie
After the rpmdeps change, the output didn't change in the correct case and hence hashes were cross-linked. We bump the hashequiv version to avoid problems from this. Also bump PR to force a rebuild. (From OE-Core rev: cd1e4f9957c57bebcc8f16ebc200a1ab2e4fd2ce) Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2021-02-24reproducible: Improve SOURCE_DATE_EPOCH_FALLBACK handlingRichard Purdie
Ensure the fallback value if used is written to the SDE file and hence stored in sstate, reducing any confusion within the code over '0' values. Bump the HASHEQUIV_VERSION since we've had a ton of trouble with ensuring this rolls out correctly on the autobuilder so others may too, take a clean slate for it. (From OE-Core rev: 53ffffa32b76330835287dfc05d4e4796841af08) Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2021-02-18xorg-minimal-fonts: Really fix determinismRichard Purdie
My previous fix wasn't correct as the file timestamps do vary by git checkout or modification time and aren't correct here. Instead use a specific date/time for the files to be deterministic. (From OE-Core rev: 725a30a30052540a4b7fc2933396fe9eb946eeac) Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2021-02-16xorg-fonts-minimal: Fix reproducibilityRichard Purdie
When installing the font files, preserve their timestamp rather than using the current time which fixes reproducibility issues. (From OE-Core rev: a0c4f4b0182a995f0eb2709cc9b3c852527ab936) Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2019-11-21distro_features_check: expand with MACHINE_FEATURES and COMBINED_FEATURES, ↵Denys Dmytriyenko
rename Besides checking DISTRO_FEATURES for required or conflicting features, being able to check MACHINE_FEATURES and/or COMBINED_FEATURES may also be useful at times. Temporarily support the old class name with a warning about future deprecation. 2015-01-23xorg-minimal-fonts: set and handle S in a proper wayPetter Mabäcker
After removal of auto-creating S we must ensure that all recipes are using a proper value for S. Also do some minor adjustment after changing value of S. 2014-01-02Drop empty/invalid BUGTRACKER valuesPaul Eggleton

2011-10-04Improve handling of 'all' architecture recipes and their interaction with sstateRichard Purdie
* Jansa: rebased on current master, added nocompiler patch also to font-alias, dropped allarch from linux-firmware, gnome-icon-theme, hal-info as those are checking compiler (ie in intltool check) and better to build them as default arch instead of rebuilding after every machine change. * this is also part of [BUGID# 1075] (From OE-Core rev: 85d8362e0c443f11fe8d3fd0fba55d1bd4983613) Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org> Signed-off-by: Martin Jansa <Martin.Jansa@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2011-05-27License Field Cleanup: Non-standard field namesBeth Flanagan
I've cleaned up some odd license fields, fixed some license names and corrected some incorrect licenses. LICENSE really needs a pass through by the maintainers as some of the licensing is incorrect. Also, every license with Artistic should be gone through and noted as which version of Artistic. 2011-02-03recipes-graphics: Add more detailed SUMMARY and DESCRIPTIONSMark Hatle
Add more detailed SUMMARY and DESCRIPTIONS to various graphics and graphics related components. I've recently gotten question from users what something is, or why it was needed.. this should go a long way toward answering those questions. Many of the descriptions were taken directly from the upstream location, where one was not available the Debian packages were consulted for information. 2010-08-27Major layout change to the packages directoryRichard Purdie
Having one monolithic packages directory makes it hard to find things and is generally overwhelming. This commit splits it into several logical sections roughly based on function, recipes.txt gives more information about the classifications used. The opportunity is also used to switch from "packages" to "recipes" as used in OpenEmbedded as the term "packages" can be confusing to people and has many different meanings. Not all recipes have been classified yet, this is just a first pass at separating things out. Some packages are moved to meta-extras as they're no longer actively used or maintained.
