2019-01-16meta: Fix Deprecated warnings from regexsRichard Purdie
Fix handling of escape characters in regexs and hence fix python Deprecation warnings which will be problematic in python 3.8. Note that some show up as: """ meta/classes/package.bbclass:1293: DeprecationWarning: invalid escape sequence \.   """ where the problem isn't on 1293 in package.bbclass but in some _prepend to a package.bbclass function in a different file like mesa.inc, often from do_package_split() calls. 2016-12-16meta: remove True option to getVar callsJoshua Lock
getVar() now defaults to expanding by default, thus remove the True option from getVar() calls with a regex search and replace. Search made with the following regex: getVar ?\(( ?[^,()]*), True\) (From OE-Core rev: 7c552996597faaee2fbee185b250c0ee30ea3b5f) Signed-off-by: Joshua Lock <joshua.g.lock@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Ross Burton <ross.burton@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2015-06-23meta: Add explict getVar param for (non) expansionRichard Purdie
Rather than just use d.getVar(X), use the more explict d.getVar(X, False) since at some point in the future, having the default of expansion would be nice. This is the first step towards that. This patch was mostly made using the command: sed -e 's:\(getVar([^,()]*\)\s*):\1, False):g' -i `grep -ril getVar *` (From OE-Core rev: ab7c1d239b122c8e549e8112c88fd46c9e2b061b) Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2014-01-06Revert "gconf.bbclass: remove --disable-schemas-install"Richard Purdie
This reverts commit 84fa245b1d1e7935094e3b8a452d69461dc3dcbb. Ross Burton comments that: *Some* packages have migrated away from gconf to gsettings. Not all packages have done this, so anything still using gconf is now broken. Note that almost nothing in oe-core uses gsettings as we're still using the GTK+ 2 stack generally. The problem is that people are using gnome.bbclass which is a kitchen sink class, inheriting many other classes that may or may not be used. To resolve this warning gnome.bbclass should extend the sanity check whitelist with --disable-schemas-install as it is the class causing gconf.bbclass to be inherited on recipes that don't use gconf. 2014-01-06gconf.bbclass: remove --disable-schemas-installRobert Yang
Gnome has moved the schemas to the gsettings-desktop-schemas pkg, so there is no --disable-schemas-install option any more, and we already have the gsettings-desktop-schemas recipe, so remove it, it wil fix the warning: configure was passed unrecognised options: --disable-schemas-install (From OE-Core rev: 84fa245b1d1e7935094e3b8a452d69461dc3dcbb) Signed-off-by: Robert Yang <liezhi.yang@windriver.com> Signed-off-by: Saul Wold <sgw@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>

2012-12-19gconf: add gconftool-2 native wrapperLaurentiu Palcu
This is needed when sstate cache is fetched from another build server. In this case, the postinstall will fail because the backend libraries path will be from the build server. 2012-06-28gconf.bbclass: don't register schemas in the install stageRoss Burton
Previously this was installing schemas in the sysroot, which is wrong for native packages as nothing should touch the sysroot directly, and even more wrong for non-native packages as the sysroot is irrelevant. So, export the environment variable that stops the registration happening at install time. The postinst script will handle the non-native case, and for the sysroot I've opened #2648. This isn't a massive problem as nothing to my knowledge actually installs schemas to the sysroot. 2012-03-05meta: Convert getVar/getVarFlag(xxx, 1) -> (xxx, True)Richard Purdie
Using "1" with getVar is bad coding style and "True" is preferred. This patch is a sed over the meta directory of the form: sed \ -e 's:\(\.getVar([^,()]*, \)1 *):\1True):g' \ -e 's:\(\.getVarFlag([^,()]*, [^,()]*, \)1 *):\1True):g' \ -i `grep -ril getVar *` Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2012-02-02gconf.bbclass: Add proper RDEPENDS to packages with gconf postinststep.Peter Tworek
Right now gconf bbclass adds both postinst and prerm steps, but it does not ensure that packages involved have gconf in RDEPENDS. This can lead to a situation where postinst/prerm steps fail because gconftool-2 is not installed. 2011-11-23gconf: Ensure the correct backend directory is usedRichard Purdie
Without these changes, gconf will use the hardcoded backend directory meaning we can see errors when building if the binary was relocated. (From OE-Core rev: aaa2a70f7f1b8a299f31626d61d7ea27f29fb9e2) Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2011-11-23gconf: Ensure that GCONF_SCHEMA_INSTALL_SOURCE uses correct pathsRichard Purdie
The gconf .m4 files use the path encoded into the gconf-native tools by default to populate this variable. This doesn't work if we're relocating the gconf-native binaries. By setting this variable we ensure that the m4 files always pick up the correct path. This fixes errors seen on the yocto autobuilder.
