Add a parameter `striplevel` to the SRC_URI to strip NUMBER leading
components (levels) from file names on extraction.
For example, if the archive `archive.tar.gz` contains `some/file`,
the SRC_URI `https://.../archive.tar.gz;subdir=other;striplevel=1`
will extract `some/file` to `other/file`.
This is useful to extract archives to a specified directory instead of
the original root component of the archive. The feature is required for
the npm support. The npm package contents should reside in a subfolder
inside a npm archive (usually it is called package/). npm strips one
directory layer when installing the package.

Python scales badly when concatinating strings in loops. Most of these
references aren't problematic but at least one (in data.py) is probably
a performance issue as the issue is compounded as strings become large.
The way to handle this in python is to create lists which don't reconstruct
all the objects when appending to them. We may as well fix all the references
since it stops them being copy/pasted into something problematic in the future.
This patch was based on issues highligthted by a report from AWS Codeguru.

The following commit to fix [Yocto #13039] causes regression of
the behavior of PREMIRRORS.
"bitbake: fetch2: fix premirror URI when downloadfilename defined"
Take meta-openembedded/meta-networking/recipes-protocols/freediameter/freediameter_1.4.0.bb
as an example.
SRC_URI = "\
http://www.freediameter.net/hg/${fd_pkgname}/archive/${PV}.tar.gz;downloadfilename=${fd_pkgname}-${PV}.tar.gz \
...
"
With the above commit, it now tries to fetch 1.4.0.tar.gz instead of
freeDiameter-1.4.0.tar.gz. This makes https://downloads.yoctoproject.org/mirror/sources
not work for freediameter, as it holds freeDiameter-1.4.0.tar.gz.
The commit above tries to avoid fetching from invalid url such as:
https://<some_mirror>/1.4.0.tar.gz/freeDiameter-1.4.0.tar.gz.
And its solution is to make basename to be 1.4.0.tar.gz, thus causing the
regression.
This patch fixes the above regression. For Yocto #13039, it now tries
to fetch from url: https://<some_mirror>/freeDiameter-1.4.0.tar.gz.

npmsw(and maybe other fetchers) may try to download same files simulatenously.
if a premirror is set, download method tries premirror location first. If file
is not found, done is set to false. In the meantime, other fetchers may download
the files required and verify_donestamp might return true.
In this scenerio, fetcher doesn't try to download again and fails. Do not
attempt to verify_donestamp if done is not set. By this way, we ensure that
fetcher attempts to do another download after premirror failure.

No error was being reported when the hash string was set to empty.
For example: SRC_URI[md5sum] = ""
On a related note (not a bug):
Because whitespace in the string will result in a checksum mismatch, the error
message was updated to make it a little clearer why the error was thrown.
For example: SRC_URI[md5sum] = " " or
SRC_URI[md5sum] = " 209f8326f5137d8817a6276d9577a2f1"
Now creates a message like this:
File: '/home/scott/yocto-cache/downloads/rsync-3.2.3.tar.gz' has md5
checksum '209f8326f5137d8817a6276d9577a2f1' when ' 209f8326f5137d8817a6276d9577a2f1' was expected

Allows bitbake to fetch from an Azure Storage account.
The fetcher submodule is compatible with the az:// URI protocol, its
functionality is based on bitbakes wget fetcher, superior in performance
to using a propietary tool like azcopy which can handle cloud storage
account operations with more functionality (that we dont need in a fetcher)
but less compatibility.
A sample URI uses can be defined in the following way:
SRC_URI = "az://<azure-storage-account>.blob.core.windows.net/<container>/foo.tar.xz"
This fetcher can easily be used with PREMIRRORS and SSTATE_MIRRORS, e.g.:
SSTATE_MIRRORS = "file://.* az://<azure-storage-account>.blob.core.windows.net/sstate-cache/PATH;downloadfilename=PATH \n"
PREMIRRORS_prepend = "\
git://.*/.* az://<azure-storage-account>.blob.core.windows.net/downloads/ \n \
ftp://.*/.* az://<azure-storage-account>.blob.core.windows.net/downloads/ \n \
http://.*/.* az://<azure-storage-account>.blob.core.windows.net/downloads/ \n \
https://.*/.* az://<azure-storage-account>.blob.core.windows.net/downloads/ \n \
"
Can also be used with non-public access Azure Storage accounts/containers via a
Shared Access Signature by declaring the AZ_SAS variable which will be
automatically used by the fetcher:
AZ_SAS="?sv=2000-01-01&ss=...&sig=somesignature"

The bitbake logger overrode the definition of the debug() logging call
to include a debug level, but this causes problems with code that may
be using standard python logging, since the extra argument is
interpreted differently.
Instead, change the bitbake loggers debug() call to match the python
logger call and add a debug2() and debug3() API to replace calls that
were logging to a different debug level.

try_mirror_url() creates a symlink named as the original file to make
everything look like files specified in SRC_URI were downloaded from
their original location. The link is however created as an absolute
reference, this makes DL_DIR non-relocatable. This also causes issues
with the Isar project since it bind mounts DL_DIR to /downloads to
perform some of its build tasks in a chrooted environment (rendering
all symbolic links from DL_DIR invalid). Modify ensure_symlink() to
take an optional "relative" argument and have that function use
os.path.relpath() to produce a relative symlink.

Globbing in file:// urls is terminally broken. Currently when its used, the
file checksum code is basically bypassed. This means changes to the source
files don't change the task checksum, the task doesn't rebuild when the
inputs change and things generally break.
To make globbing work generically, we'd have to scan the file system for
all possible matches to the glob and log whether they exist or not. We can't
simply log the files which exist, we have to also know which files could
later exist and influence the choice of file so we know when to reparse.
For a simple file://xxx/*, this could be done but for bigger patterns,
it becomes much more problemtic. We already support file://xxx/ in urls.
So, lets decide we'll not support globs in file://urls. Worse case users
can put files in a directory and reference that, moving files into place
if needed.
Remove all the glob special cases (see the comments if anyone doesn't
believe this is terminally broken) and error to the user if they have
such urls.

Some fetchers may download additional sources along with those
explicitly listed in SRC_URI. These "implicit URLs" will be needed by
the archiver to ensure that all sources can be archived.
We can't just return a list of URL strings since each URL may need its
own SRCREV data so we return a list of FetchData objects.
Each fetcher can override the implicit_urldata() function to provide the
additional FetchData objects. For now this is just needed in the gitsm
fetcher to walk git submodules recursively.

Currently bitbake will list many checksums for a recipe when none are
present, encouraging users to add them all to a recipe. We don't
need/want them all.
We used to show md5 and sha256 but given the concerns about md5,
switch to showing just sha256 going forward which seems like the
sensible one to standardise upon.
There will be no change to existing recipe functionality.

This commit adds a new npmsw fetcher that fetches every npm dependencies
described in a npm shrinkwrap file:
https://docs.npmjs.com/files/shrinkwrap.json.html
The main package must be fetched separately:
SRC_URI = "npm://registry.url;package=foobar;version=1.0.0 \
npmsw://${THISDIR}/npm-shrinkwrap.json"
Since a separation has been created between the package and its
dependencies, the package can also be fetched with a non npm fetcher
without impacting the general behavior:
SRC_URI = "git://github.com/foo/bar.git;protocol=https \
npmsw://${THISDIR}/npm-shrinkwrap.json"

Prior to this change, two different recipes pulling from the same
exact repo could get a different SRCREV during a single parse session.
This was originally observed using git. For git at least, it still
allows recipes to pull from the same repo, but with different branches
or tags, since the form of the srcrev cache key for git is:
"git:" + ud.host + ud.path.replace('/', '.') + ud.unresolvedrev[name]

There was a weird error in OE-Core where "devtool modify virtual/kernel"
was showing basehash mismatch errors. This was due to SRCPV sometimes being:
AUTOINC+b867b78b50_47b80ef7bd and sometimes AUTOINC+b867b78b50_255a750d28.
The latter hash comes from KBRANCH and meant sometimes the correct branch
was seen, sometimes it was not. The issue was complicated by the execution
using a remote datastore over tinfoil.
The problem turns out to be a fetcher caching error. If the datastore
changes, the cached url data may not be valid.
We therefore ensure we match cached url data against the datastore that
generated it, which appears to fix this issue.

and then failed because of movefile() issue with python3 (fixed in previous commit):
ERROR: laser-geometry-1.6.4-r0 do_fetch: Error executing a python function in exec_python_func() autogenerated:
with movefile() fixed, it let do_fetch continue and re-fetch locally with the right
checksum, but still the renamed file didn't exist, because of movefile failure - add
another warning when the movefile fails - for whatever reason - unfortunately movefile
prints error messages with just print() so the real error is hidden only in log.do_fetch
in this case:
movefile: Failed to move /jenkins/mjansa/sshfs/webos-ose-thud/downloads/laser_geometry-1.6.4.tar.gz to /jenkins/mjansa/sshfs/webos-ose-thud/downloads/laser_geometry-1.6.4.tar.gz_bad-checksum_1ee7479b8c5914b4ffae996945121441 [Errno 30] Read-only file system: '/jenkins/mjansa/sshfs/webos-ose-thud/downloads/laser_geometry-1.6.4.tar.gz' -> '/jenkins/mjansa/sshfs/webos-ose-thud/downloads/laser_geometry-1.6.4.tar.gz_bad-checksum_1ee7479b8c5914b4ffae996945121441'

Since warrior, python3native.bbclass sets _PYTHON_SYSCONFIGDATA_NAME;
unfortunately, this also affects Python scripts run as fetch commands like
git-make-shallow, breaking it with a message like

Unset _PYTHON_SYSCONFIGDATA_NAME in runfetchcmd() to work around this.

There are much better ways to handle this and most editors shouldn't need this
in modern times, drop the noise from the files. Its not consitently applied
anyway.

With the introduction of SPDX-License-Identifier headers, we don't need a ton
of header boilerplate in every file. Simplify the files and rely on the top
level for the full licence text.

This adds the SPDX-License-Identifier license headers to the majority of
our source files to make it clearer exactly which license files are under.
The bulk of the files are under GPL v2.0 with one found to be under V2.0
or later, some under MIT and some have dual license. There are some files
which are potentially harder to classify where we've imported upstream code
and those can be handled specifically in later commits.
The COPYING file is replaced with LICENSE.X files which contain the full
license texts.

Make it consistent with BB_FETCH_PREMIRRORONLY.

The fetch2/__init__.py checks whether "BB_FETCH_PREMIRRORONLY" == "1", but
fetch2/git.py and hg.py checks whether it is None, this makes it discontinuous,
and BB_FETCH_PREMIRRORONLY = "0" doens't work as expected in the later case,
so unify it to the previous one. (As BB_NO_NETWORK does).
And also use bb.utils.to_boolean() to make them consistent.
