When the tests are complete add some marker elements to the test page DOM which can then looked at for a selenium browser test. Signed-off-by: Michael Wood <michael.g.wood@intel.com>
2016-04-04toaster: views jsunittest Add MACHINE and an extra layer to test projectMichael Wood
Add set a MACHINE if needed and add a layer. When we're running in the context of the django unit tests we don't have these defaults setup for the project so add them. Signed-off-by: Michael Wood <michael.g.wood@intel.com>

2016-04-04toaster: Add quint to project so that it can be used offlineMichael Wood
Currently we're using a hosted version of quint however this means that the testing has to be online or have a cached version of quint. Add the files to Toaster to be able to use offline. Signed-off-by: Michael Wood <michael.g.wood@intel.com>
2016-04-01toaster: orm better detect requires during CustomImageRecipe generationJoshua Lock
We were doing a string search for the literal string "require" and assuming that a match meant the recipe uses the require keyword to include the contents of another recipe. This test isn't very smart (it should at least have matched on "require ") and triggers on the word require anywhere in the recipe, i.e. the word "required" in the DESCRIPTION of core-image-lsb.bb, and then breaks as the much smarter regex fails to match anything. Instead always run the regex search and only try to update the require entry when the regex matches. 2016-04-01toaster: buildinfohelper Add additional metadata to the built layerMichael Wood
Add additional metadata to the layer created for build history to be able to identify the layer and recipe later on. Specifically this is the branch and release to which the recipe and layer are associated with enabling differentiation of two recipes which are local release and master and 'master' release. 2016-04-01toaster: create Build object earlier in bitbake processingElliot Smith
If a build fails because of a bitbake error occurring before the BuildStarted event fires, we do not generate a Build object for command-line builds. This means that failed command-line builds don't appear in Toaster at all. To resolve, split build creation into two steps: 1. Just before buildTargets() is invoked on the XMLRPC server: create the base Build object. Note that as soon as a Toaster-triggered build starts, targets are added to it; but this event is the earliest point when task and targets are available for command-line builds. (This requires a new TargetsAcquired event to be fired by the XMLRPC server when the buildTargets() command is called.) 2. BuildStarted event: add any layer information to either type of build (command-line or Toaster-triggered). Note that the build_name property cannot be set until BuildStarted, as it is not available until then, which could cause problems for creating Build objects earlier; however, this property is redundant, as it's never used anywhere in Toaster, so it has been removed (along with any functions which refer to it). 2016-04-01yocto-bsp: Set correct default branches and branches base for i386, qemu and ↵Humberto Ibarra
x86_64 archs Kernel recipes for linux-yocto_4.* and greater have outdated branches as default, making it impossible to find the right branch if the user picks the default value. The branches_base property uses these outdated branches also. This updates standard/common-pc and standard/common-pc-64 branches to standard/base. The fix was tested using 'yocto-bsp create' with each one of the following archs: -i386 with kernels 4.1 and 4.4 -x86_64 with kernels 4.1 and 4.4 -qemu (i386 and x86_64) with kernels 4.1 and 4.4 After the layer was created, it was added to local.conf and the MACHINE was set accordingly. 'bitbake linux-yocto' ran successfully with each configuration tested. 2016-03-31image.bbclass: Make unneeded packages for a read-only rootfs configurablePeter Kjellerstedt
Previously the list of packages that are considered unneeded for a read-only rootfs was hardcoded. This made it impossible to, e.g., have shadow installed on a system with a read-only rootfs, but where /etc is mounted writable. This also lists ${VIRTUAL-RUNTIME_update-alternatives} rather than update-alternatives (as was previously the case) since this should actually remove the intended package. 2016-03-31relocate_sdk: additional error checksJuro Bystricky
When installing SDK in a non-default location and the path length of the SDK install location is longer than the path length of the default SDK location, relocation of .ldsochache section will overwrite file location outside of the .ldsocache section size. In addition, additional checks were added to ensure that any path in sections .gccrelocprefix and .ldsochache will not exceed the space allocated for it within the file, which would also result in file corruption. 2016-03-31devtool: modify: call shutdown on tinfoil when donePaul Eggleton
Strictly speaking we ought to explicitly shut down a tinfoil instance when we're done with it. This doesn't affect modify's operation but is important if you want to be able to call into modify() from another plugin (though anyone doing so should be advised that the function is by no means a stable API and is subject to change in future releases). 2016-03-31oe-publish-sdk: exclude sstate-cache if publishing minimal SDKPaul Eggleton
If SDK_EXT_TYPE is set to "minimal" then the SDK won't contain many sstate artifacts, and you're required to set up an sstate mirror in this case anyway so there's no point publishing the "stub" sstate-cache directory from within the SDK since it won't be useful for update purposes and may be confused with the real sstate-cache. There is however a possibility that people might publish the real sstate-cache directory under the same output directory provided to oe-publish-sdk, thus deleting it after extracting (as we were doing with other files we wanted to clean up at the end) would be problematic, besides which extracting it and then deleting it is wasteful. Thus, introduce a "-p" command line option to the SDK installer that we can use to tell tar not to extract the items we don't want when publishing. This has the added benefit of mostly keeping references to these in the place they belong i.e. in populate_sdk_ext.bbclass. 2016-03-31oe-publish-sdk: prevent specifying a directory for the SDK argumentPaul Eggleton

2016-03-31classes/populate_sdk_ext: support setting vars from environment at build timePaul Eggleton
When running bitbake you may pass in values of variables from the external environment (making use of BB_ENV_EXTRAWHITE), and you may choose to do this when building the extensible SDK, for example: MACHINE=qemuarm bitbake -c populate_sdk_ext core-image-minimal You would naturally expect those settings to be reflected in the extensible SDK itself; however they were not, since we were only considering local.conf and auto.conf. Check the variables mentioned in BB_ENV_EXTRAWHITE to see if any are different than the values set in local.conf/auto.conf and add lines setting them in the SDK's local.conf if so. 2016-03-31ldconfig-native: Fix ELF flags on 64-bit binariesClemens Lang
Yocto's ldconfig-native was exported from an old version of glibc and generates an ld.so.cache that is partially ignored by current versions of glibc when loading libraries. This occurs for 64-bit binaries, where glibc expects FLAG_ELF_LIBC6, but ldconfig-native only generates the standard ELF flag. Fix this with an additional patch on top of the patch for now. When using systemd as init rng-tools is causing a circular dependency between units, [ 7.706250] systemd[1]: basic.target: Found ordering cycle on basic.target/start [ 7.706934] systemd[1]: basic.target: Found dependency on sysinit.target/start [ 7.707795] systemd[1]: basic.target: Found dependency on rng-tools.service/start [ 7.708692] systemd[1]: basic.target: Found dependency on basic.target/start [ 7.709461] systemd[1]: basic.target: Breaking ordering cycle by deleting job rng-tools.service/start [ 7.710404] systemd[1]: rng-tools.service: Job rng-tools.service/start deleted to break ordering cycle starting with basic.target/start The problem is related to systemd running sysvinit scripts by default add dependency of basic.target for sysvinit script so when sysvscript is at rcS is added also as dependency of sysinit.target causing a cirular dependency in this case: basic.target -> sysinit.target -> rng-tools.service -> basic.target.
