2020-03-23drm/vmwgfx: Add SM5 param for userspaceDeepak Rawat
Add a new param for user-space to determine if kernel module is SM5 capable. 2020-03-23drm/vmwgfx: Add surface define v4 commandDeepak Rawat
Surface define v4 added new member buffer_byte_stride. With this patch add buffer_byte_stride in surface metadata and create surface using new command if support is available. Also with this patch replace device specific data types with kernel types. 2020-01-15drm/vmwgfx: add ioctl for messaging from/to guest userspace to/from hostRoland Scheidegger
Up to now, guest userspace does logging directly to host using essentially the same rather complex port assembly stuff as the kernel. We'd rather use the same mechanism than duplicate it (it may also change in the future), hence add a new ioctl for relaying guest/host messaging (logging is just one application of it). 2019-11-06drm/vmwgfx: Add surface dirty-tracking callbacksThomas Hellstrom
Add the callbacks necessary to implement emulated coherent memory for surfaces. Add a flag to the gb_surface_create ioctl to indicate that surface memory should be coherent. Also bump the drm minor version to signal the availability of coherent surfaces. 2018-07-03drm/vmwgfx: Replace vmw_dma_buffer with vmw_buffer_objectThomas Hellstrom
Initially vmware buffer objects were only used as DMA buffers, so the name DMA buffer was a natural one. However, currently they are used also as dumb buffers and MOBs backing guest backed objects so renaming them to buffer objects is logical. Particularly since there is a dmabuf subsystem in the kernel where a dma buffer means something completely different. This also renames user-space api structures and IOCTL names correspondingly, but the old names remain defined for now and the ABI hasn't changed. There are a couple of minor style changes to make checkpatch happy. 2014-09-12drm/vmwgfx: Fix drm.h includeJosh Boyer
The userspace drm.h include doesn't prefix the drm directory. This can lead to compile failures as /usr/include/drm/ isn't in the standard gcc include paths. Fix it to be <drm/drm.h>, which matches the rest of the driver drm header files that get installed into /usr/include/drm.
