Make these const as they are not modified anywhere. Signed-off-by: Bhumika Goyal <bhumirks@gmail.com> Cc: Julia Lawall <julia.lawall@lip6.fr> Cc: Guan Xuetao <gxt@mprc.pku.edu.cn> Signed-off-by: Bartlomiej Zolnierkiewicz <b.zolnierkie@samsung.com>
2017-09-04video: fbdev: annotate fb_fix_screeninfo with const and __initconstBhumika Goyal
Make these const as they are only used during a copy operation. Some structures are used as a copy operation inside __init functions, so make them const and replace __initdata with __initconst to avoid section conflict error. 2017-03-20video: fbdev: pmag-ba-fb: remove incorrect __exit markupsDmitry Torokhov
Even if bus is not hot-pluggable, the devices can be unbound from the driver via sysfs, so we should not be using __exit annotations on remove() methods. The only exception is drivers registered with platform_driver_probe() which specifically disables sysfs bind/unbind attributes. 2017-01-30video: fbdev: pmag-ba-fb: Remove bad `__init' annotationMaciej W. Rozycki
Fix: WARNING: drivers/video/fbdev/pmag-ba-fb.o(.text+0x308): Section mismatch in reference from the function pmagbafb_probe() to the function .init.text:pmagbafb_erase_cursor() The function pmagbafb_probe() references the function __init pmagbafb_erase_cursor(). This is often because pmagbafb_probe lacks a __init annotation or the annotation of pmagbafb_erase_cursor is wrong. -- a fallout from a missed update from commit 9625b51350cc ("VIDEO: PMAG-BA: Fix section mismatch") and then commit 48c68c4f1b54 ("Drivers: video: remove __dev* attributes.") 2016-02-26video: fbdev: pmag-ba-fb: Fix the lower margin sizeMaciej W. Rozycki
According to the board specification[1] the width of the vertical sync front porch is 12 pixels or the same as the width of the horizontal sync front porch. This in turn means the size of the lower margin is 0, because the vertical sync starts as soon as the start of the horizontal sync terminates the last line. 2014-04-17video: move fbdev to drivers/video/fbdevTomi Valkeinen
The drivers/video directory is a mess. It contains generic video related files, directories for backlight, console, linux logo, lots of fbdev device drivers, fbdev framework files. Make some order into the chaos by creating drivers/video/fbdev directory, and move all fbdev related files there. No functionality is changed, although I guess it is possible that some subtle Makefile build order related issue could be created by this patch.
