commit e61985d0550df8c2078310202aaad9b41049c36c upstream.
If punit or telemetry device initialization fails, pmc driver should
unregister and return failure.
This change is to fix a kernel panic when removing kernel module
intel_pmc_ipc.

commit 94d4e7af14a1170e34cf082d92e4c02de9e9fb88 upstream.
As new transfer mechanisms are added to the EC codebase, they may
not support v2 of the EC protocol.
If the v3 initial handshake transfer fails, the kernel will try
and call cmd_xfer as a fallback. If v2 is not supported, cmd_xfer
will be NULL, and the code will end up causing a kernel panic.
Add a check for NULL before calling the transfer function, along
with a helpful comment explaining how one might end up in this
situation.

commit 1cbd7a64959d33e7a2a1fa2bf36a62b350a9fcbd upstream.
It seems that the default case should return AE_CTRL_TERMINATE, instead
of falling through to case ACPI_RESOURCE_TYPE_END_TAG and returning AE_OK;
otherwise the line of code at the end of the function is unreachable and
makes no sense:
return AE_CTRL_TERMINATE;

commit e50af8332785355de3cb40d9f5e8c45dbfc86f53 upstream.
Only Coffeelake should use Cannonlake regmap other than Cannonlake
platform. This allows Coffeelake special handling only when there is no
matching PCI device and default reg map selected as per CPUID is for
Sunrisepoint PCH. This change is needed to enable support for newer SoCs
such as Icelake.

commit 49ad712afa88c502831d37f7089d98eac441fb80 upstream.
The Image Signal Processor found on Cherry Trail devices is brought up in
D0 state on devices which have camera sensors attached to it. The ISP will
not enter D3 state again without some massaging of its registers beforehand
and the ISP not being in D3 state blocks the SoC from entering S0ix modes.
There was a driver for the ISP in drivers/staging but that got removed
again because it never worked. It does not seem likely that a real
driver for the ISP will be added to the mainline kernel anytime soon.
This commit adds a dummy driver which contains the necessary magic from
the staging driver to powerdown the ISP, so that Cherry Trail devices where
the ISP is used will properly use S0ix modes when suspended.
Together with other recent S0ix related fixes this allows S0ix modes to
be entered on e.g. a Chuwi Hi8 Pro and a HP x2 210.

commit e97a34563d18606ee5db93e495382a967f999cd4 upstream.
Power button suspend for some Dell models was added in:
commit 821b85366284 ("platform/x86: intel-hid: Power button suspend on Dell Latitude 7275")
by checking against the power button press notification (0xCE) to report
the power button press event. The corresponding power button release
notification (0xCF) was caught and ignored to stop it from being reported
as an "unknown event" in the logs.
The missing button release event is creating issues on Android-x86, as
reported on the project mailing list for a Dell Latitude 5175 model, since
the events are expected in down/up pairs.
Report the power button release event to fix this issue.

commit 0e68eeea9894feeba2edf7ec63e4551b87f39621 upstream.
A previous commit "platform/x86: intel_pmc_core: Make the driver PCH
family agnostic <c977b98bbef5898ed3d30b08ea67622e9e82082a>" provided
better abstraction to this driver but has some fundamental issues.
e.g. the following condition
for (index = 0; index < pmcdev->map->ppfear_buckets &&
index < PPFEAR_MAX_NUM_ENTRIES; index++, iter++)
is wrong because for CNL, PPFEAR_MAX_NUM_ENTRIES is hardcoded as 5 which
is _wrong_ and even though ppfear_buckets is 8, the loop fails to read
all eight registers needed for CNL PCH i.e. PPFEAR0 and PPFEAR1. This
patch refactors the pfear show logic to correctly read PCH IP power
gating status for Cannonlake and beyond.

The warning is caused by the below loop:
for_each_set_bit(bit, (unsigned long *)&asserted, 8) {
while "asserted" is declared as 'unsigned'.
The casting of 32-bit unsigned integer pointer to a 64-bit unsigned long
pointer. There are two problems here.
It causes the access of four extra byte, which can corrupt memory
The 32-bit pointer address may not be 64-bit aligned.
The fix changes variable "asserted" to "unsigned long".

R720-15IKBN
commit 4d9b2864a415fec39150bc13efc730c7eb88711e upstream.
Commit ae7c8cba3221 ("platform/x86: ideapad-laptop: add lenovo RESCUER
R720-15IKBN to no_hw_rfkill_list") added
DMI_MATCH(DMI_BOARD_NAME, "80WW")
for Lenovo RESCUER R720-15IKBN.
But DMI_BOARD_NAME does not match 80WW on Lenovo RESCUER R720-15IKBN,
thus cause Wireless LAN still be hard blocked.
On Lenovo RESCUER R720-15IKBN:
~$ cat /sys/class/dmi/id/sys_vendor
LENOVO
~$ cat /sys/class/dmi/id/board_name
Provence-5R3
~$ cat /sys/class/dmi/id/product_name
80WW
~$ cat /sys/class/dmi/id/product_version
Lenovo R720-15IKBN
So on Lenovo RESCUER R720-15IKBN:
DMI_SYS_VENDOR should match "LENOVO",
DMI_BOARD_NAME should match "Provence-5R3",
DMI_PRODUCT_NAME should match "80WW",
DMI_PRODUCT_VERSION should match "Lenovo R720-15IKBN".
Fix it, and in according with other entries in no_hw_rfkill_list,

Assigning the mux to the USB Type-C port on top of fusb302.
That will prepare this driver for the change in the USB

commit 6ad16b78a039b45294b1ad5d69c14ac57b2fe706 upstream.
EC_MKBP_EVENT_SENSOR_FIFO events can be triggered for a variety of
reasons, and there are very few cases in which they should be treated as
wakeup interrupts (particularly, when a certain
MOTIONSENSE_MODULE_FLAG_* is set, but this is not even supported in the
mainline cros_ec_sensor driver yet). Most of the time, they are benign
sensor readings. In any case, the top-level cros_ec device doesn't know
enough to determine that they should wake the system, and so it should
not report the event. This would be the job of the cros_ec_sensors
driver to parse.
This patch adds checks to cros_ec_get_next_event() such that it doesn't
signal 'wakeup' for events of type EC_MKBP_EVENT_SENSOR_FIFO.
This patch is particularly relevant on devices like Scarlet (Rockchip
RK3399 tablet, known as Acer Chromebook Tab 10), where the EC firmware
reports sensor events much more frequently. This was causing
/sys/power/wakeup_count to increase very frequently, often needlessly
interrupting our ability to suspend the system.

commit 71b12beaf12f21a53bfe100795d0797f1035b570 upstream.
According to Asus firmware engineers, the meaning of these codes is only
to notify the OS that the screen brightness has been turned on/off by
the EC. This does not match the meaning of KEY_DISPLAYTOGGLE /
KEY_DISPLAY_OFF, where userspace is expected to change the display
brightness.

commit b3f2f3799a972d3863d0fdc2ab6287aef6ca631f upstream.
When the OS registers to handle events from the display off hotkey the
EC will send a notification with 0x35 for every key press, independent
of the backlight state.
The behavior of this key on Windows, with the ATKACPI driver from Asus
installed, is turning off the backlight of all connected displays with a
fading effect, and any cursor input or key press turning the backlight
back on. The key press or cursor input that wakes up the display is also
passed through to the application under the cursor or under focus.
The key that matches this behavior the closest is KEY_SCREENLOCK.

commit 78f3ac76d9e5219589718b9e4733bee21627b3f5 upstream.
In the past, Asus firmwares would change the panel backlight directly
through the EC when the display off hotkey (Fn+F7) was pressed, and
only notify the OS of such change, with 0x33 when the LCD was ON and
0x34 when the LCD was OFF. These are currently mapped to
KEY_DISPLAYTOGGLE and KEY_DISPLAY_OFF, respectively.
Most recently the EC on Asus most machines lost ability to toggle the
LCD backlight directly, but unless the OS informs the firmware it is
going to handle the display toggle hotkey events, the firmware still
tries change the brightness through the EC, to no effect. The end result
is a long list (at Endless we counted 11) of Asus laptop models where
the display toggle hotkey does not perform any action. Our firmware
engineers contacts at Asus were surprised that there were still machines
out there with the old behavior.
Calling WMNB(ASUS_WMI_DEVID_BACKLIGHT==0x00050011, 2) on the _WDG device
tells the firmware that it should let the OS handle the display toggle
event, in which case it will simply notify the OS of a key press with
0x35, as shown by the DSDT excerpts bellow.

commit 8d98b1ef368feeb7720b8b9b6f3bd93f2ad892bc upstream.
On some Goldmont based systems such as ASRock J3455M the BIOS may not
enable the IPC1 device that provides access to the PMC and PUNIT. In
such scenarios, the IOSS and PSS resources from the platform device can
not be obtained and result in a invalid telemetry_plt_config which is an
internal data structure that holds platform config and is maintained by
the telemetry platform driver.
This is also applicable to the platforms where the BIOS supports IPC1
device under debug configurations but IPC1 is disabled by user or the
policy.
This change allows user to know the reason for not seeing entries under
/sys/kernel/debug/telemetry/* when there is no apparent failure at boot.

Fix return code check for "max brightness" ACPI call.
The Dell laptop ACPI video brightness control is not present on dell
laptops anymore, but was present in older kernel versions.
The code that checks the return value is incorrect since the SMM
refactoring.
The old code was:
if (buffer->output[0] == 0)
Which was changed to:
ret = dell_send_request(...)
if (ret)
However, dell_send_request() will return 0 if buffer->output[0] == 0,
so we must change the check to:
if (ret == 0)
This issue was found on a Dell M4800 laptop, and the fix tested on it
as well.

The devm_kzalloc() function has a 2-factor argument form, devm_kcalloc().
This patch replaces cases of:
devm_kzalloc(handle, a * b, gfp)
with:
devm_kcalloc(handle, a * b, gfp)
as well as handling cases of:
devm_kzalloc(handle, a * b * c, gfp)
with:
devm_kzalloc(handle, array3_size(a, b, c), gfp)
as it's slightly less ugly than:
devm_kcalloc(handle, array_size(a, b), c, gfp)
This does, however, attempt to ignore constant size factors like:
devm_kzalloc(handle, 4 * 1024, gfp)
though any constants defined via macros get caught up in the conversion.
Any factors with a sizeof() of "unsigned char", "char", and "u8" were
dropped, since they're redundant.
Some manual whitespace fixes were needed in this patch, as Coccinelle
really liked to write "=devm_kcalloc..." instead of "= devm_kcalloc...".
The Coccinelle script used for this was:
// Fix redundant parens around sizeof().

The kzalloc() function has a 2-factor argument form, kcalloc(). This
patch replaces cases of:
kzalloc(a * b, gfp)
with:
kcalloc(a * b, gfp)
as well as handling cases of:
kzalloc(a * b * c, gfp)
with:
kzalloc(array3_size(a, b, c), gfp)
as it's slightly less ugly than:
kzalloc_array(array_size(a, b), c, gfp)
This does, however, attempt to ignore constant size factors like:
kzalloc(4 * 1024, gfp)
though any constants defined via macros get caught up in the conversion.
Any factors with a sizeof() of "unsigned char", "char", and "u8" were
dropped, since they're redundant.
The Coccinelle script used for this was:
// Fix redundant parens around sizeof().

The XPS 13 9370 doesn't expose the necessary KBD_LED_AC_TOKEN in
the BIOS, so the driver thinks it cannot adjust the AC keyboard
backlight timeout. This patch adds a quirk to fix this until
Dell adds the missing token to the BIOS.

There are two new events generated by dell-wmi, rfkill and fn-lock, from
Dell Systems.
When Fn-lock hotkey gets pressed to switch to function mode:
[85951.591542] dell_wmi: Unknown key with type 0x0010 and code 0xe035
pressed
[85951.591546] dell_wmi: Unknown key with type 0x0010 and code 0x0000
pressed
When Fn-lock hotkey gets pressed to switch to multimedia mode:
[85956.667686] dell_wmi: Unknown key with type 0x0010 and code 0xe035
pressed
[85956.667690] dell_wmi: Unknown key with type 0x0010 and code 0x0001
pressed
When radio hotkey gets pressed:
[85974.430220] dell_wmi: Unknown key with type 0x0010 and code 0xe008
pressed
These events are for notification purpose, so we can ignore them.
This patch is tested on XPS 9370.

Add LED platform driver activation from mlx-platform. This LED driver uses
the same regmap infrastructure as others Mellanox platform drivers, so LED
specific registers description is added.
System LED configuration depends on system type. To support all the
relevant types per system type LED descriptions are defined for passing
to LED platform driver.

Add new ODM system types, matched according to DMI_BOARD_NAME. The
supported ODM Ids are: VMOD0001, VMOD0002, VMOD0003, VMOD0004, VMOD0005.
Patch does not introduce new systems, but allows to ODM companies to set
DMI_BOARD_VENDOR and DMI_PRODUCT_NAME on their own. It assumes that ODM
company can't change DMI_BOARD_NAME.

Add extra cycle for hotplug work queue to handle the case when a signal is
It adds missed logic for signal acknowledge, by adding an extra run for
received, but no specific signal assertion is detected. Such case
theoretically can happen for example in case several units are removed or
inserted at the same time. In this situation acknowledge for some signal
can be missed at signal top aggreagation status level. The extra run will
allow to handler to acknowledge the missed signal.
The interrupt handling flow performs the next steps:
(1)
Enter mlxreg_hotplug_work_handler due to signal assertion.
Aggregation status register is changed for example from 0xff to 0xfd
(event signal group related to bit 1).
(2)
Mask aggregation interrupts, read aggregation status register and save it
(0xfd) in aggr_cache, then traverse down to handle signal from groups
related to the changed bit.
(3)
Read and mask group related signal.
Acknowledge and unmask group related signal (acknowledge should clear
aggregation status register from 0xfd back to 0xff).
(4)
Re-schedule work queue for the immediate execution.
(5)
Enter mlxreg_hotplug_work_handler due to re-scheduling.
Aggregation status is changed from previous 0xfd to 0xff.
Go over steps (2) - (5) and in case no new signal assertion
is detected - unmask aggregation interrupts.
The possible race could happen in case new signal from the same group is
asserted after step (3) and prior step (5). In such case aggregation
status will change back from 0xff to 0xfd and the value read from the
aggregation status register will be the same as a value saved in
aggr_cache. As a result the handler will not traverse down and signal
will stay unhandled.
Example of faulty flow:
The signal routing flow is as following (f.e. for of FANi removing):
- FAN status and event registers related bit is changed;
-- intermediate aggregation status register is changed;
--- top aggregation status register is changed;
---- interrupt routed to CPU and interrupt handler is invoked.
When interrupt handler is invoked it follows the next simple logic (f.e
FAN3 is removed):
(a1) mask top aggregation interrupt mask register;
(a2) read top aggregation interrupt status register and test to which
underling group belongs a signal (FANs in this case and is changed
from 0xff to 0xfb and 0xfb is saved as a last status value);
(b1) mask FANs interrupt mask register;
(b2) read FANs status register and test which FAN has been changed
FAN3 in this example);
(c1) perform relevant action;
<--------------- (FAN2 is removed at this point)
(b3) clear FANs interrupt event register to acknowledge FAN3 signal;
(b4) unmask FANs interrupt mask register
(a3) unmask top aggregation interrupt mask register;
An interrupt handler is invoked, since FAN2 interrupt is not acknowledge.
It should set top aggregation interrupt status register bit 6 (0xfb).
In step (a2)
(a2) read top aggregation interrupt and comparing it with saved value
does not show change (same 0xfb) and after (a2) execution jumps to
(a3) and signal leaved unhandled
The fix will enforce handler to traverse down in case the signal is
received, but signal assertion is not detected.
