2019-08-21net: stmmac: dwc-qos: use devm_platform_ioremap_resource() to simplify codeYueHaibing
Use devm_platform_ioremap_resource() to simplify the code a bit. This is detected by coccinelle. Reported-by: Hulk Robot <hulkci@huawei.com> Signed-off-by: YueHaibing <yuehaibing@huawei.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2019-07-30net: Remove dev_err() usage after platform_get_irq()Stephen Boyd
We don't need dev_err() messages when platform_get_irq() fails now that platform_get_irq() prints an error message itself when something goes wrong. Let's remove these prints with a simple semantic patch. // <smpl> @@ expression ret; struct platform_device *E; @@ ret = ( platform_get_irq(E, ...) | platform_get_irq_byname(E, ...) ); if ( \( ret < 0 \| ret <= 0 \) ) { ( -if (ret != -EPROBE_DEFER) -{ ... -dev_err(...); -... } | ... -dev_err(...); ) ... } // </smpl> While we're here, remove braces on if statements that only have one statement (manually). 2019-07-27net: stmmac: Make MDIO bus reset optionalThierry Reding
The Tegra EQOS driver already resets the MDIO bus at probe time via the reset GPIO specified in the phy-reset-gpios device tree property. There is no need to reset the bus again later on. This avoids the need to query the device tree for the snps,reset GPIO, which is not part of the Tegra EQOS device tree bindings. This quiesces an error message from the generic bus reset code if it doesn't find the snps,reset related delays. Signed-off-by: Thierry Reding <treding@nvidia.com> Signed-off-by: David S. 2019-05-28net: stmmac: Do not output error on deferred probeThierry Reding
If the subdriver defers probe, do not show an error message. It's perfectly fine for this error to occur since the driver will get another chance to probe after some time and will usually succeed after all of the resources that it requires have been registered. 2017-10-27net: stmmac: dwc-qos-eth: Fix typo in DT bindings parsingJose Abreu
According to DT bindings documentation we are expecting a property called "snps,read-requests" but we are parsing instead a property called "read,read-requests". This is clearly a typo. Fix it. 2017-03-12net: stmmac: dwc-qos: Add Tegra186 supportThierry Reding
The NVIDIA Tegra186 SoC contains an instance of the Synopsys DWC ethernet QOS IP core. The binding that it uses is slightly different from existing ones because of the integration (clocks, resets, ...). Signed-off-by: Thierry Reding <treding@nvidia.com> Signed-off-by: David S. 2017-03-12net: stmmac: dwc-qos: Split out ->probe() and ->remove()Thierry Reding
Split out the binding specific parts of ->probe() and ->remove() to enable the driver to support variants of the binding. This is useful in order to keep backwards-compatibility while making it easy for a sub- driver to deal only with the updated bindings rather than having to add compatibility quirks all over the place. 2017-01-09stmmac: adding new glue driver dwmac-dwc-qos-ethjpinto
This patch adds a new glue driver called dwmac-dwc-qos-eth which was based in the dwc_eth_qos as is. To assure retro-compatibility a slight tweak was also added to stmmac_platform.
