2019-05-30treewide: Replace GPLv2 boilerplate/reference with SPDX - rule 174Thomas Gleixner
Based on 1 normalized pattern(s): this program is free software you can redistribute it and or modify it under the terms of the gnu general public license version 2 as published by the free software foundation this program is distributed in the hope that it will be useful but without any warranty without even the implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose see the gnu general public license for more details extracted by the scancode license scanner the SPDX license identifier GPL-2.0-only has been chosen to replace the boilerplate/reference in 655 file(s). The > comparison should be >= to prevent reading beyond the end of the func->template[] array. (The func->template array is allocated in vexpress_syscfg_regmap_init() and it has func->num_templates elements.) 2018-07-16misc: vexpress/syscfg: Use devm_ioremap_resource() to map memorySudeep Holla
Instead of checking the return value of platform_get_resource(), we can use devm_ioremap_resource() which has the NULL pointer check and the memory region requesting. devm_ioremap_resource is designed to replace calls to devm_request_mem_region followed by devm_ioremap, so let's use the same. 2018-06-06treewide: Use struct_size() for kmalloc()-familyKees Cook
One of the more common cases of allocation size calculations is finding the size of a structure that has a zero-sized array at the end, along with memory for some number of elements for that array. For example: struct foo { int stuff; void *entry[]; }; instance = kmalloc(sizeof(struct foo) + sizeof(void *) * count, GFP_KERNEL); Instead of leaving these open-coded and prone to type mistakes, we can now use the new struct_size() helper: instance = kmalloc(struct_size(instance, entry, count), GFP_KERNEL); This patch makes the changes for kmalloc()-family (and kvmalloc()-family) uses. It was done via automatic conversion with manual review for the "CHECKME" non-standard cases noted below, using the following Coccinelle script: // pkey_cache = kmalloc(sizeof *pkey_cache + tprops->pkey_tbl_len * // sizeof *pkey_cache->table, GFP_KERNEL); @@ identifier alloc =~ "kmalloc|kzalloc|kvmalloc|kvzalloc"; expression GFP; identifier VAR, ELEMENT; expression COUNT; @@ - alloc(sizeof(*VAR) + COUNT * sizeof(*VAR->ELEMENT), GFP) + alloc(struct_size(VAR, ELEMENT, COUNT), GFP) // mr = kzalloc(sizeof(*mr) + m * sizeof(mr->map[0]), GFP_KERNEL); @@ identifier alloc =~ "kmalloc|kzalloc|kvmalloc|kvzalloc"; expression GFP; identifier VAR, ELEMENT; expression COUNT; @@ - alloc(sizeof(*VAR) + COUNT * sizeof(VAR->ELEMENT[0]), GFP) + alloc(struct_size(VAR, ELEMENT, COUNT), GFP) // Same pattern, but can't trivially locate the trailing element name, // or variable name. @@ identifier alloc =~ "kmalloc|kzalloc|kvmalloc|kvzalloc"; expression GFP; expression SOMETHING, COUNT, ELEMENT; @@ - alloc(sizeof(SOMETHING) + COUNT * sizeof(ELEMENT), GFP) + alloc(CHECKME_struct_size(&SOMETHING, ELEMENT, COUNT), GFP) Signed-off-by: Kees Cook <keescook@chromium.org>

2014-11-28ARM: vexpress: Remove non-DT codePawel Moll
Now, with the CLCD DT support available, there is no more reason to keep the non-DT support for V2P-CA9. Removed, together with "some" supporting code. It was necessary to make PLAT_VERSATILE_SCHED_CLOCK optional and selected by the machines still interested in it. 2014-05-15mfd: vexpress: Define the device as MFD cellsPawel Moll
This patch - finally, after over 6 months! :-( - addresses Samuel's request to split the vexpress-sysreg driver into smaller portions and define the device in a form of MFD cells: * LEDs code has been completely removed and replaced with "gpio-leds" nodes in the tree (referencing dedicated GPIO subnodes in sysreg - bindings documentation updated); this also better fits the reality as some variants of the motherboard don't have all the LEDs populated * syscfg bridge code has been extracted into a separate driver (placed in drivers/misc for no better place) * all the ID & MISC registers are defined as sysconf making them available for other drivers should they need to use them (and also to the user via /sys/kernel/debug/regmap which can be helpful in platform debugging) Signed-off-by: Pawel Moll <pawel.moll@arm.com> Acked-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org>
