2019-11-24media: venus: vdec: fix decoded data sizeVikash Garodia
[ Upstream commit ce32c0a530bd955206fe45c2eff77e581202d699 ] Existing code returns the max of the decoded size and buffer size. It turns out that buffer size is always greater due to hardware alignment requirement. As a result, payload size given to client is incorrect. This change ensures that the bytesused is assigned to actual payload size, when available. 2019-11-24media: isif: fix a NULL pointer dereference bugWenwen Wang
[ Upstream commit a26ac6c1bed951b2066cc4b2257facd919e35c0b ] In isif_probe(), there is a while loop to get the ISIF base address and linearization table0 and table1 address. In the loop body, the function platform_get_resource() is called to get the resource. If platform_get_resource() returns NULL, the loop is terminated and the execution goes to 'fail_nobase_res'. Suppose the loop is terminated at the first iteration because platform_get_resource() returns NULL and the execution goes to 'fail_nobase_res'. Given that there is another while loop at 'fail_nobase_res' and i equals to 0, one iteration of the second while loop will be executed. However, the second while loop does not check the return value of platform_get_resource(). This can cause a NULL pointer dereference bug if the return value is a NULL pointer. This patch avoids the above issue by adding a check in the second while loop after the call to platform_get_resource(). 2019-09-16media: cec/v4l2: move V4L2 specific CEC functions to V4L2Hans Verkuil
[ Upstream commit 9cfd2753f8f3923f89cbb15f940f3aa0e7202d3e ] Several CEC functions are actually specific for use with receivers, i.e. they should be part of the V4L2 subsystem, not CEC. These functions deal with validating and modifying EDIDs for (HDMI) receivers, and they do not actually have anything to do with the CEC subsystem and whether or not CEC is enabled. The problem was that if the CEC_CORE config option was not set, then these functions would become stubs, but that's not right: they should always be valid. So replace the cec_ prefix by v4l2_ and move them to v4l2-dv-timings.c. Update all drivers that call these accordingly. 2019-09-06omap-dma/omap_vout_vrfb: fix off-by-one fi valueHans Verkuil
[ Upstream commit d555c34338cae844b207564c482e5a3fb089d25e ] The OMAP 4 TRM specifies that when using double-index addressing the address increases by the ES plus the EI value minus 1 within a frame. When a full frame is transferred, the address increases by the ES plus the frame index (FI) value minus 1. The omap-dma code didn't account for the 'minus 1' in the FI register. To get correct addressing, add 1 to the src_icg value. This was found when testing a hacked version of the media m2m-deinterlace.c driver on a Pandaboard. The only other source that uses this feature is omap_vout_vrfb.c, and that adds a + 1 when setting the dst_icg. This is a workaround for the broken omap-dma.c behavior. So remove the workaround at the same time that we fix omap-dma.c. I tested the omap_vout driver with a Beagle XM board to check that the '+ 1' in omap_vout_vrfb.c was indeed a workaround for the omap-dma bug. [ Upstream commit f3775f89852d167990b0d718587774cf00d22ac2 ] coda_encoder_cmd() is racy, as the last scheduled picture run worker can still be in-flight while the ENC_CMD_STOP command is issued. Depending on the exact timing the sequence numbers might already be changed, but the last buffer might not have been put on the destination queue yet. In this case the current implementation would prematurely wake the destination queue with last_buffer_dequeued=true, causing userspace to call streamoff before the last buffer is handled. 2019-04-05media: rcar-vin: Allow independent VIN link enablementSteve Longerbeam
[ Upstream commit c5ff0edb8e2270a75935c73217fb0de1abd2d910 ] There is a block of code in rvin_group_link_notify() that prevents enabling a link to a VIN node if any entity in the media graph is in use. This prevents enabling a VIN link even if there is an in-use entity somewhere in the graph that is independent of the link's pipeline. For example, the code block will prevent enabling a link from the first rcar-csi2 receiver to a VIN node even if there is an enabled link somewhere far upstream on the second independent rcar-csi2 receiver pipeline. If this code block is meant to prevent modifying a link if any entity in the graph is actively involved in streaming (because modifying the CHSEL register fields can disrupt any/all running streams), then the entities stream counts should be checked rather than the use counts. (There is already such a check in __media_entity_setup_link() that verifies the stream_count of the link's source and sink entities are both zero, but that is insufficient, since there should be no running streams in the entire graph). Modify the code block to check the entity stream_count instead of the use_count (and elaborate on the comment). VIN node links can now be enabled even if there are other independent in-use entities that are not streaming.
