2009-12-169p connect fixesAl Viro
* if we fail in p9_conn_create(), we shouldn't leak references to struct file. Logics in ->close() doesn't help - ->trans is already gone by the time it's called. * sock_create_kern() can fail. * use of sock_map_fd() is all fscked up; I'd fixed most of that, but the rest will have to wait for a bit more work in net/socket.c (we still are violating the basic rule of working with descriptor table: "once the reference is installed there, don't rely on finding it there again"). 2009-11-029p: fix readdir corner casesEric Van Hensbergen
The patch below also addresses a couple of other corner cases in readdir seen with a large (e.g. 64k) msize. I'm not sure what people think of my co-opting of fid->aux here. I'd be happy to rework if there's a better way. When the size of the user supplied buffer passed to readdir is smaller than the data returned in one go by the 9P read request, v9fs_dir_readdir() currently discards extra data so that, on the next call, a 9P read request will be issued with offset < previous offset + bytes returned, which voilates the constraint described in paragraph 3 of read(5) description. This patch preseves the leftover data in fid->aux for use in the next call. Signed-off-by: Jim Garlick <garlick@llnl.gov> Signed-off-by: Eric Van Hensbergen <ericvh@gmail.com>
2009-10-22virtio: let header files include virtio_ids.hChristian Borntraeger
Rusty, commit 3ca4f5ca73057a617f9444a91022d7127041970a virtio: add virtio IDs file moved all device IDs into a single file. While the change itself is a very good one, it can break userspace applications. For example if a userspace tool wanted to get the ID of virtio_net it used to include virtio_net.h. This does no longer work, since virtio_net.h does not include virtio_ids.h. This patch moves all "#include <linux/virtio_ids.h>" from the C files into the header files, making the header files compatible with the old ones. In addition, this patch exports virtio_ids.h to userspace. 2009-09-23virtio: make add_buf return capacity remainingRusty Russell
This API change means that virtio_net can tell how much capacity remains for buffers. It's necessarily fuzzy, since VIRTIO_RING_F_INDIRECT_DESC means we can fit any number of descriptors in one, *if* we can kmalloc. 2009-07-149p: default 9p transport module fixAbhishek Kulkarni

2009-04-05net/9p: return error when p9_client_stat failsLatchesar Ionkov
p9_client_stat function doesn't return correct value if it fails. p9_client_stat should return ERR_PTR of the error value when it fails. 2009-04-05net/9p: set correct stat size when sending Twstat messagesLatchesar Ionkov
The 9P2000 Twstat message requires the size of the stat structure to be specified. Currently the 9p code writes zero instead of the actual size. 2009-01-159p: disallow RDMA if RDMA CM isn't availableRoland Dreier
If INET=y and INFINIBAND=y, but IPV6=m then INFINIBAND_ADDR_TRANS is set to n and the RDMA CM functions rdma_connect() et al are not built. 2008-11-05p9: Fix leak of waitqueue in request allocation pathTom Tucker
If a T or R fcall cannot be allocated, the function returns an error but neglects to free the wait queue that was successfully allocated. If it comes through again a second time this wq will be overwritten with a new allocation and the old allocation will be leaked. Also, if the client is subsequently closed, the close path will attempt to clean up these allocations, so set the req fields to NULL to avoid duplicate free. 2008-10-179p: add new protocol support codeEric Van Hensbergen
This adds a new protocol processing support code based on Anthony Liguori's 9p library code. This code performs protocol marshalling/unmarshalling using printf like strings to represent protocol elements. It is my intent to use them to replace the current functions in conv.c as well as the p9_create_* functions. This should make the client implementation much more clear, and also make it much easier to add new protocol extensions by limiting the number of places in which changes need to be made. 2008-10-179p: move dirread to fs layerEric Van Hensbergen
