Pull more USB updates from Greg KH:
"Here are a few more straggler patches for USB for 4.8-rc1.
Most of these are for the usb-serial driver tree. All of those have
been in linux-next for a long time, but missed my previous pull
request to you.
The remaining change is to fix up a staging tree build error, due to
some USB gadget driver changes that went in. I put it in this tree as
it was for a USB driver and people are reporting the build error on
your tree.
All of these have been in linux-next for this week, and longer for the

phy-sun4i-usb now has proper dr_mode handling, it always registers an
extcon, and sends a notify with the mode (even when in peripheral- /
host-only mode) at least once.
So we can simply the sunxi musb glue by always registering its extcon
notifier and relying on sunxi_musb_work() to enable vbus when in
host-only mode.
This also enables host- and peripheral-only mode with vbus monitoring.

This adds tracepoints to musb register read/write wrappers to get
trace log for register access.
The default tacepoint log prefix here would be musb_readX/writeX(),
which is not much helpful. So this patch let the tracepoints use
__buildin_return_address(0) to print the caller funciton name to
provide more context of the register access.

This patch turns status in a variable read once from the URB.
The long term plan is to deliver status to the callback.

Use kmemdup when some other buffer is immediately copied into allocated
region. It replaces call to allocation followed by memcpy, by a single
call to kmemdup.

Make this a proper typed array. Drop the old allocate context code since
that is no longer used.
Note that the memops functions now get a struct device pointer instead of
the struct device ** that was there initially (actually a void pointer to
a struct containing only a struct device pointer).
This code is now a lot cleaner.

It's clear to see that the list_empty() check means it can never be
uninitialized, however it still looks wrong:
When ep->cancelled_td_list contains more than one entry, the
ep_ring variable will point to the ring that was retrieved
from the last urb, and we have to look it up again in the
second loop instead, which fixes the behavior and gets rid of the
warning too.

We're making all reset line users specify whether their lines are
shared with other IP or they operate them exclusively. In this case
the line is exclusively used only by this IP, so use the *_exclusive()
API accordingly.

"Contained are some standard fixes and unusually an extension to the
Reset API. Some of those changes are required to fix a bug introduced
in -rc1, which introduces extra 'reset line checks' i.e. whether the
line is shared or not. If a line is shared and the new *_shared() API
is not used, the request fails with an error. This breaks USB in v4.7
for ST's platforms.
Admittedly, there are some patches contained in our (MFD/Reset)
immutable branch which are not true -fixes, but there isn't anything I
can do about that. Rest assured though, there aren't any API
'changes'. Everything is the same from the consumer's perspective.
