2017-05-02sm501fb: don't return zero on failure path in sm501fb_start()Alexey Khoroshilov
If fbmem iomemory mapping failed, sm501fb_start() breaks off initialization, deallocates resources, but returns zero. As a result, double deallocation can happen in sm501fb_stop(). 2016-12-24Replace <asm/uaccess.h> with <linux/uaccess.h> globallyLinus Torvalds
This was entirely automated, using the script by Al: PATT='^[[:blank:]]*#[[:blank:]]*include[[:blank:]]*<asm/uaccess.h>' sed -i -e "s!$PATT!#include <linux/uaccess.h>!" \ $(git grep -l "$PATT"|grep -v ^include/linux/uaccess.h) to do the replacement at the end of the merge window. 2015-03-02fbdev: sm501fb: use memset_ioSudip Mukherjee
we should really be using memset_io() instead of using memset() as this is actually io space mapped into our memory. Signed-off-by: Sudip Mukherjee <sudip@vectorindia.org> Signed-off-by: Tomi Valkeinen <tomi.valkeinen@ti.com>

git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/gregkh/driver-core Pull driver core update from Greg KH: "Here's the set of driver core patches for 3.19-rc1. They are dominated by the removal of the .owner field in platform drivers. They touch a lot of files, but they are "simple" changes, just removing a line in a structure. Other than that, a few minor driver core and debugfs changes. There are some ath9k patches coming in through this tree that have been acked by the wireless maintainers as they relied on the debugfs changes. 2014-11-06m501fb: don't return zero on failure path in sm501fb_probe()Alexey Khoroshilov
If no framebuffers found, sm501fb_probe() breaks off initialization, deallocates sm501fb_info, but returns zero. As a result, use after free can happen in sm501fb_remove(). The patch adds -ENODEV as a return value in this case. Found by Linux Driver Verification project (linuxtesting.org). 2014-10-14video: fbdev: replace strnicmp with strncasecmpRasmus Villemoes
The kernel used to contain two functions for length-delimited, case-insensitive string comparison, strnicmp with correct semantics and a slightly buggy strncasecmp. The latter is the POSIX name, so strnicmp was renamed to strncasecmp, and strnicmp made into a wrapper for the new strncasecmp to avoid breaking existing users. To allow the compat wrapper strnicmp to be removed at some point in the future, and to avoid the extra indirection cost, do s/strnicmp/strncasecmp/g. 2014-04-17video: move fbdev to drivers/video/fbdevTomi Valkeinen
The drivers/video directory is a mess. It contains generic video related files, directories for backlight, console, linux logo, lots of fbdev device drivers, fbdev framework files. Make some order into the chaos by creating drivers/video/fbdev directory, and move all fbdev related files there. No functionality is changed, although I guess it is possible that some subtle Makefile build order related issue could be created by this patch.
