2023-11-13regulator: dt-bindings: Allow system-critical marking for fixed-regulatorOleksij Rempel
In certain projects, the main system regulator, composed of simple components including an under-voltage detector and capacitors, can be aptly described as a fixed regulator in the device tree. To cater to such use cases, this patch extends the fixed regulator binding to support the 'system-critical-regulator' property. This property signifies that the fixed-regulator is vital for system stability. 2023-10-25regulator: dt-bindings: fixed-regulator: Add under-voltage interrupt supportOleksij Rempel
Add under-voltage interrupt support. This can be used with simple regulators having no other way to communicate an under-voltage event except as by toggling some GPIO line. 'gpios' is in general preferred even for single GPIO specifiers and there are DTS boards using it (exynos4412-p4note.dtsi), so allow both versions. 2022-04-04dt-bindings: Fix incomplete if/then/else schemasRob Herring
A recent review highlighted that the json-schema meta-schema allows any combination of if/then/else schema keywords even though if, then or else by themselves makes little sense. With an added meta-schema to only allow valid combinations, there's a handful of schemas found which need fixing in a variety of ways. Incorrect indentation is the most common issue. 2021-07-07regulator: fixed: Mark regulator-fixed-domain as deprecatedUlf Hansson
A power domain should not be modelled as a regulator, not even for the simplest case as recent discussions have concluded around the existing regulator-fixed-domain DT binding. Fortunately, there is only one user of the binding that was recently added. Therefore, let's mark the binding as deprecated to prevent it from being further used. 2021-01-29dt-bindings: Cleanup standard unit propertiesRob Herring
Properties with standard unit suffixes already have a type and don't need type definitions. They also default to a single entry, so 'maxItems: 1' can be dropped. adi,ad5758 is an oddball which defined an enum of arrays. While a valid schema, it is simpler as a whole to only define scalar constraints. 2020-10-07dt-bindings: Add missing 'unevaluatedProperties'Rob Herring
This doesn't yet do anything in the tools, but make it explicit so we can check either 'unevaluatedProperties' or 'additionalProperties' is present in schemas. 'unevaluatedProperties' is appropriate when including another schema (via '$ref') and all possible properties and/or child nodes are not explicitly listed in the schema with the '$ref'. This is in preparation to add a meta-schema to check for missing 'unevaluatedProperties' or 'additionalProperties'. This has been a constant source of review issues. 2019-10-14dt-bindings: Clean-up regulator '-supply' schemasRob Herring
Regulator '*-supply' properties are always a single phandle, so 'maxItems: 1' or a $ref is not necessary. All that's needed is either 'true' or an optional 'description'. Following this clean-up, the meta-schema will enforce this pattern. There's one case in tree with 'innolux,n156bge-l21' having 2 phandles. This appears to be a mistake or abuse of simple-panel as it's 2 different voltage rails connected to 'power-supply'. 2019-09-10dt-bindings: regulator: add regulator-fixed-clock bindingPhilippe Schenker
This adds the documentation to the compatible regulator-fixed-clock. This binding is a special binding of regulator-fixed and adds the ability to add a clock to regulator-fixed, so the regulator can be enabled and disabled with that clock. If the special compatible regulator-fixed-clock is used it is mandatory to supply a clock. 2019-05-22regulator: Convert regulator binding to json-schemaRob Herring
Convert the common regulator binding to DT schema format. Note that all the properties with standard unit suffixes have type checks already, so only a description is necessary. As fixed-regulator has already been converted, update the references in it. Otherwise, keep regulator.txt with a reference to the schema to avoid a bunch of treewide updates. regulator.txt can be removed when all the regulator bindings are converted. 2019-02-08dt-bindings: regulator: update fixed-regulator exampleJohan Hovold
Fixed regulators do not have associated bus addresses and are typically placed directly under the root node where their names must still be unique despite not having a unit address. Fix the malformed example node which had a unit address but no "reg" property by dropping the unit address. Also, try to make the example more useful by using the recommended generic node name "regulator", but with a suffix reflecting the regulator name in order to make it unique.
