2021-05-12MAINTAINERS: Move nvdimm mailing listDan Williams
After seeing some users have subscription management trouble, more spam than other Linux development lists, and considering some of the benefits of kernel.org hosted lists, nvdimm and persistent memory development is moving to nvdimm@lists.linux.dev. The old list will remain up until v5.14-rc1 and shutdown thereafter. 2020-07-28ACPI: NFIT: Add runtime firmware activate supportDan Williams
Plumb the platform specific backend for the generic libnvdimm firmware activate interface. Register dimm level operations to arm/disarm activation, and register bus level operations to report the dynamic platform-quiesce time relative to the number of dimms armed for firmware activation. A new nfit-specific bus attribute "firmware_activate_noidle" is added to allow the activation to switch between platform enforced, and OS opportunistic device quiesce. In other words, let the hibernate cycle handle in-flight device-dma rather than the platform attempting to increase PCI-E timeouts and the like. 2018-06-03acpi, nfit: Remove ecc_unit_sizeDan Williams
The "Clear Error Unit" may be smaller than the ECC unit size on some devices. For example, poison may be tracked at 64-byte alignment even though the ECC unit is larger. Unless / until the ACPI specification provides a non-ambiguous way to communicate this property do not expose this to userspace. Software that had been using this property must already be prepared for the case where the property is not provided on older kernels, so it is safe to remove this attribute.
