2017-07-15ext4: check return value of kstrtoull correctly in reserved_clusters_storeChao Yu
commit 1ea1516fbbab2b30bf98c534ecaacba579a35208 upstream. kstrtoull returns 0 on success, however, in reserved_clusters_store we will return -EINVAL if kstrtoull returns 0, it makes us fail to update reserved_clusters value through sysfs. 2017-04-29ext4: constify static data that is never modifiedEric Biggers
Constify static data in ext4 that is never (intentionally) modified so that it is placed in .rodata and benefits from memory protection. Signed-off-by: Eric Biggers <ebiggers@google.com> Signed-off-by: Theodore Ts'o <tytso@mit.edu>
2016-10-12ext4: do not advertise encryption support when disabledEric Biggers
The sysfs file /sys/fs/ext4/features/encryption was present on kernels compiled with CONFIG_EXT4_FS_ENCRYPTION=n. This was misleading because such kernels do not actually support ext4 encryption. Therefore, only provide this file on kernels compiled with CONFIG_EXT4_FS_ENCRYPTION=y. Note: since the ext4 feature files are all hardcoded to have a contents of "supported", it really is the presence or absence of the file that is significant, not the contents (and this change reflects that). it's not needed for file_operations of inodes located on fs defined in the hosting module and for file_operations that go into procfs. Signed-off-by: Al Viro <viro@zeniv.linux.org.uk>
2015-11-26ext4: add "static" to ext4_seq_##name##_fops structXu Cang
to fix sparse warning, add static to ext4_seq_##name##_fops struct. Signed-off-by: Theodore Ts'o <tytso@mit.edu>
2015-10-17ext4: store checksum seed in superblockDarrick J. Wong
Allow the filesystem to store the metadata checksum seed in the superblock and add an incompat feature to say that we're using it. This enables tune2fs to change the UUID on a mounted metadata_csum FS without having to (racy!) rewrite all disk metadata. Signed-off-by: Darrick J. 2015-09-23ext4: move procfs registration code to fs/ext4/sysfs.cTheodore Ts'o
This allows us to refactor the procfs code, which saves a bit of compiled space. More importantly it isolates most of the procfs support code into a single file, so it's easier to #ifdef it out if the proc file system has been disabled. Signed-off-by: Theodore Ts'o <tytso@mit.edu>
2015-09-23ext4: refactor sysfs support codeTheodore Ts'o
Make the code more easily extensible as well as taking up less compiled space. Signed-off-by: Theodore Ts'o <tytso@mit.edu>
2015-09-23ext4: move sysfs code from super.c to fs/ext4/sysfs.cTheodore Ts'o
Also statically allocate the ext4_kset and ext4_feat objects, since we only need exactly one of each, and it's simpler and less code if we drop the dynamic allocation and deallocation when it's not needed. Signed-off-by: Theodore Ts'o <tytso@mit.edu>
