The WARN_*() macros are intended to catch impossible situations
from the SW point of view. They gave a little in case HW<->SW interface
is out-of-sync.
Such out-of-sync scenario can be due to SW errors that are not part
of this flow or because some HW errors, where dump stack won't help
either.
This specific WARN_ON() is useless because mlx5_core code is prepared
to handle such situations and will unfold everything correctly while
providing enough information to the users to understand why FS is not
working.

The function invokes bpf_prog_inc(), which increases the reference
count of a bpf_prog object "rq->xdp_prog" if the object isn't NULL.
The refcount leak issues take place in two error handling paths. When
either mlx5_wq_ll_create() or mlx5_wq_cyc_create() fails, the function
simply returns the error code and forgets to drop the reference count
increased earlier, causing a reference count leak of "rq->xdp_prog".
Fix this issue by jumping to the error handling path err_rq_wq_destroy
while either function fails.

When setting the PF interface up/down, notify the firmware to update
uplink state via MODIFY_VPORT_STATE, when E-Switch is enabled.
This behavior will prevent sending traffic out on uplink port when PF is
down, such as sending traffic from a VF interface which is still up.
Currently when calling mlx5e_open/close(), the driver only sends PAOS
command to notify the firmware to set the physical port state to
up/down, however, it is not sufficient. When VF is in "auto" state, it
follows the uplink state, which was not updated on mlx5e_open/close()
before this patch.
When switchdev mode is enabled and uplink representor is first enabled,
set the uplink port state value back to its FW default "AUTO".

On failure to attach the netdev, fix the rollback by re-setting the
device's state back to MLX5E_STATE_DESTROYING.
Failing to attach doesn't stop statistics polling via .ndo_get_stats64.
In this case, although the device is not attached, it falsely continues
to query the firmware for counters. Setting the device's state back to
MLX5E_STATE_DESTROYING prevents the firmware counters query.

Some released FW versions mistakenly don't set the capability that 50G
per lane link-modes are supported for VFs (ptys_extended_ethernet
capability bit). When the capability is unset, read
PTYS.ext_eth_proto_capability (always reliable).
If PTYS.ext_eth_proto_capability is valid (has a non-zero value)
conclude that the HCA supports 50G per lane. Otherwise, conclude that
the HCA doesn't support 50G per lane.

Fix eeprom SFP query support by setting i2c_addr, offset and page number
correctly. Unlike QSFP modules, SFP eeprom params are as follow:
- i2c_addr is 0x50 for offset 0 - 255 and 0x51 for offset 256 - 511.
- Page number is always zero.
- Page offset is always relative to zero.
As part of eeprom query, query the module ID (SFP / QSFP*) via helper
function to set the params accordingly.
In addition, change mlx5_qsfp_eeprom_page() input type to be u16 to avoid
unnecessary casting.

In case there is a work in the health WQ when we teardown the driver,
in driver load error flow, the health work will try to read dev->iseg,
which was already unmap in mlx5_pci_close().
Fix it by draining the health workqueue first thing in mlx5_pci_close().

The error handling was a bit flipped around. If the mlx5_create_flow_group()
function failed then it would have resulted in dereferencing "fg" when
it was an error pointer.

On sq closure when we free its descriptors, we should also update netdev
txq on completions which would not arrive. Otherwise if we reopen sqs
and attach them back, for example on fw fatal recovery flow, we may get
tx timeout.

In the cited commit inner_tirs argument was added to create and destroy
inner tirs, and no indication was added to mlx5e_modify_tirs_hash()
function. In order to have a consistent handling, use
inner_indir_tir[0].tirn in tirs destroy/modify function as an indication
to whether inner tirs are created.
Inner tirs are not created for representors and before this commit,
a call to mlx5e_modify_tirs_hash() was sending HW commands to
modify non-existent inner tirs.

When FW response to commands is very slow and all command entries in
use are waiting for completion we can have a race where commands can get
timeout before they get out of the queue and handled. Timeout
completion on uninitialized command will cause releasing command's
buffers before accessing it for initialization and then we will get NULL
pointer exception while trying access it. It may also cause releasing
buffers of another command since we may have timeout completion before

Processing commands by cmd_work_handler() while already in Internal
Error State will result in entry leak, since the handler process force
completion without doorbell. Forced completion doesn't release the entry
and event completion will never arrive, so entry should be released.

mlx5_cmd_flush() will trigger forced completions to all valid command
entries. Triggered by an asynch event such as fast teardown it can
happen at any stage of the command, including command initialization.
It will trigger forced completion and that can lead to completion on an
uninitialized command entry.
Setting MLX5_CMD_ENT_STATE_PENDING_COMP only after command entry is
initialized will ensure force completion is treated only if command
entry is initialized.

On s390 FORCE_MAX_ZONEORDER is 9 instead of 11, thus a larger kzalloc()
allocation as done for the firmware tracer will always fail.
Looking at mlx5_fw_tracer_save_trace(), it is actually the driver itself
that copies the debug data into the trace array and there is no need for
the allocation to be contiguous in physical memory. We can therefor use
kvzalloc() instead of kzalloc() and get rid of the large contiguous
allcoation.

In the switchdev mode, when running "cat
/sys/class/net/NIC/statistics/tx_packets", the ppcnt register is
accessed to get the latest values. But currently this command can
not get the correct values from ppcnt.
From firmware manual, before getting the 802_3 counters, the 802_3
data layout should be set to the ppcnt register.
When the command "cat /sys/class/net/NIC/statistics/tx_packets" is
run, before updating 802_3 data layout with ppcnt register, the
monitor counters are tested. The test result will decide the
802_3 data layout is updated or not.
Actually the monitor counters do not support to monitor rx/tx
stats of 802_3 in switchdev mode. So the rx/tx counters change
will not trigger monitor counters. So the 802_3 data layout will
not be updated in ppcnt register. Finally this command can not get
the latest values from ppcnt register with 802_3 data layout.

command. The driver can only set a single FEC mode at a time. With this

rtnl_bridge_getlink is protected by rcu lock, so mlx5_eswitch_get_vepa
cannot take mutex lock. Two possible issues can happen:
1. User at the same time change vepa mode via RTM_SETLINK command.
2. User at the same time change the switchdev mode via devlink netlink
interface.
Case 1 cannot happen because rtnl executes one message in order.
Case 2 can happen but we do not expect user to change the switchdev mode
when changing vepa. Even if a user does it, so he will read a value
which is no longer valid.

As was stated in the bug report, the reason is that gcc runs into a corner
case in the register allocator that is rather hard to fix in a good way.
As there is an easy way to work around it, just add a comment and the
barrier that stops gcc from trying to overoptimize the function.

SA context is allocated at mlx5_fpga_ipsec_create_sa_ctx,
however the counterpart mlx5_fpga_ipsec_delete_sa_ctx function
nullifies sa_ctx pointer without freeing the memory allocated,
hence the memory leak.
Fix by free SA context when the SA is released.

The pool sizes represent the pool sizes in the fw. when we request
a pool size from fw, it will return the next possible group.
We track how many pools the fw has left and start requesting groups
from the big to the small.
When we start request 4k group, which doesn't exists in fw, fw
wants to allocate the next possible size, 64k, but will fail since
its exhausted. The correct smallest pool size in fw is 128 and not 4k.

When setting speed to 100G via ethtool (AN is set to off), only 25G*4 is
configured while the user, who has an advanced HW which supports
extended PTYS, expects also 50G*2 to be configured.
With this patch, when extended PTYS mode is available, configure
PTYS via extended fields.

Set hairpin table size to the corret size, based on the groups that
would be created in it. Groups are laid out on the table such that a
group occupies a range of entries in the table. This implies that the
group ranges should have correspondence to the table they are laid upon.
The patch cited below made group 1's size to grow hence causing
overflow of group range laid on the table.

Currently, mlx5 tc layer doesn't verify that rule has at least one forward
or drop action which leads to following firmware syndrome when user tries
to offload such action:

ipv6_stub uses the ip6_dst_lookup function to allow other modules to
perform IPv6 lookups. However, this function skips the XFRM layer
entirely.
All users of ipv6_stub->ip6_dst_lookup use ip_route_output_flow (via the
ip_route_output_key and ip_route_output helpers) for their IPv4 lookups,
which calls xfrm_lookup_route(). This patch fixes this inconsistent
behavior by switching the stub to ip6_dst_lookup_flow, which also calls
xfrm_lookup_route().
This requires some changes in all the callers, as these two functions
take different arguments and have different return types.

When the user changes prio2buffer mapping while global pause is
enabled, mlx5 driver incorrectly sets all active buffers
(buffer that has at least one priority mapped) to lossy.
Solution:
If global pause is enabled, set all the active buffers to lossless
in prio2buffer command.
Also, add error message when buffer size is not enough to meet
xoff threshold.

On some old Firmwares, connector type value was not supported, and value
read from FW was 0. For those, driver used link mode in order to set
connector type in link_ksetting.
After FW exposed the connector type, driver translated the value to ethtool
definitions. However, as 0 is a valid value, before returning PORT_OTHER,
driver run the check of link mode in order to maintain backward
compatibility.
Cited patch added support to EXT mode. With both features (connector type
and EXT link modes) ,if connector_type read from FW is 0 and EXT mode is
set, driver mistakenly compare EXT link modes to non-EXT link mode.
Fixed that by skipping this comparison if we are in EXT mode, as connector
type value is valid in this scenario.

Once all the large flow groups (defined by the user when the flow table
is created - max_num_groups) were created, then all the following new
flow groups will have only one flow table entry, even though the flow table
has place to larger groups.
Fix the condition to prefer large flow group.

When CQE compression is enabled, compressed CQEs use the following
structure: a title is followed by one or many blocks, each containing 8
mini CQEs (except the last, which may contain fewer mini CQEs).
Due to NAPI budget restriction, a complete structure is not always
parsed in one NAPI run, and some blocks with mini CQEs may be deferred
to the next NAPI poll call - we have the mlx5e_decompress_cqes_cont call
in the beginning of mlx5e_poll_rx_cq. However, if the budget is
extremely low, some blocks may be left even after that, but the code
that follows the mlx5e_decompress_cqes_cont call doesn't check it and
assumes that a new CQE begins, which may not be the case. In such cases,
random memory corruptions occur.
An extremely low NAPI budget of 8 is used when busy_poll or busy_read is
active.
This commit adds a check to make sure that the previous compressed CQE
has been completely parsed after mlx5e_decompress_cqes_cont, otherwise
it prevents a new CQE from being fetched in the middle of a compressed
CQE.
This commit fixes random crashes in __build_skb, __page_pool_put_page
and other not-related-directly places, that used to happen when both CQE
compression and busy_poll/busy_read were enabled.

Ethtool self test contains a test for link speed. This test reads the
PTYS register and determines whether the current speed is valid or not.
Change current implementation to use the function mlx5e_port_linkspeed()
that does the same check and fails when speed is invalid. This code
redundancy lead to a bug when mlx5e_port_linkspeed() was updated with
expended speeds and the self test was not.

Before this patch, when adding multiple ethtool steering rules with
identical classification, the driver used to append the new destination
to the already existing hw rule, which caused the hw to forward the
traffic to all destinations (rx queues).
Here we avoid this by setting the "no append" mlx5 fs core flag when
adding a new ethtool rule.

CQE recovery function begins with test and set of recovery bit. Add an
error flow which ensures clearing of this bit when leaving the recovery
function, to allow further recoveries to take place. This allows removal
of clearing recovery bit on sq activate.
