2019-10-01drm/amd/display: readd -msse2 to prevent Clang from emitting libcalls to ↵Nick Desaulniers
undefined SW FP routines [ Upstream commit 0f0727d971f6fdf8f1077180d495ddb9928f0c8b ] arch/x86/Makefile disables SSE and SSE2 for the whole kernel. The AMDGPU drivers modified in this patch re-enable SSE but not SSE2. Turn on SSE2 to support emitting double precision floating point instructions rather than calls to non-existent (usually available from gcc_s or compiler_rt) floating point helper routines for Clang. This was originally landed in: commit 10117450735c ("drm/amd/display: add -msse2 to prevent Clang from emitting libcalls to undefined SW FP routines") but reverted in: commit 193392ed9f69 ("Revert "drm/amd/display: add -msse2 to prevent Clang from emitting libcalls to undefined SW FP routines"") due to bugreports from GCC builds. Add guards to only do so for Clang. 2019-03-23drm/amd/display: don't call dm_pp_ function from an fpu blockHarry Wentland
commit 59d3191f14dc18881fec1172c7096b7863622803 upstream. Powerplay functions called from dm_pp_* functions tend to do a mutex_lock which isn't safe to do inside a kernel_fpu_begin/end block as those will disable/enable preemption. Rearrange the dm_pp_get_clock_levels_by_type_with_voltage calls to make sure they happen outside of kernel_fpu_begin/end. 2018-02-19amdgpu/dc/calcs: Support clang option for stack alignmentMatthias Kaehlcke
calcs uses the compiler option -mpreferred-stack-boundary=4 to configure a stack alignment of 16 bytes. Clang uses the option -mstack-alignment instead, which expects as parameter the alignment in bytes, and not a power of two like -mpreferred-stack-boundary. Probe for both compiler options and use the correct one, similar to what is done in arch/x86/Makefile. 2018-02-19drm/amd/display: revert to hacking bounding box for pipe splitDmytro Laktyushkin
Directly editing pipe config outside of formula is error prone and results in higher clocks being used when splitting. For this reason we reverted to using bounding box hacking to split. Since sometimes this erroneusly results in higher dpm being required we unhack the bounding box and recalculate to allow dpm0 is possible. Side effect is we will lose some stutter efficiency in non dpm0 cases. This is not a big concern since increased stutter efficiency saves an order of magnitude less power than lower dpm. Doing bandwidth validation implies that this is a full update. Set the flag inside the function in case whatever is calling dcn_validate_bandwidth doesn't set it.
