2014-05-18sparc: drop use of extern for prototypes in arch/sparc/include/asmSam Ravnborg
Drop extern for all prototypes and adjust alignment of parameters as required after the removal. In a few rare cases adjust linelength to conform to maximum 80 chars, and likewise in a few rare cases adjust alignment of parameters to static functions. 2012-08-18sparc64: Add PCR ops for SPARC-T4.David S. Miller
This is enough to get the NMIs working, more work is needed for perf events. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2012-08-18sparc64: Abstract away the %pcr values used to enable/disable NMIDavid S. Miller
We assumed PCR_PIC_PRIV can always be used to disable it, but that won't be true for SPARC-T4. This allows us also to get rid of some messy defines used in only one location. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2012-08-18sparc64: Abstract away the NMI PIC counter computation.David S. Miller

2012-08-18sparc64: Abstract away PIC register accesses.David S. Miller
And, like for the PCR, allow indexing of different PIC register numbers. This also removes all of the non-__KERNEL__ bits from asm/perfctr.h, nothing kernel side should include it any more. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2012-08-18sparc64: Add 'reg_num' argument to pcr_ops methods.David S. Miller
SPARC-T4 and later have multiple PCR registers, one for each PIC counter. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

2011-02-15sparc64: Fix NMI startup bug which also breaks perf.David S. Miller
Doing NMI startup as an early initcall doesn't work because we need to have SMP started up by then. So we'd only NMI startup one cpu, which causes perf PMU grab to BUG because the nmi_active count isn't what it's supposed to be. This also points out that we don't have proper CPU up/down notifiers for the NMI code which will need to be fixed at some point. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2009-01-30sparc64: Implement NMI watchdog on capable cpus.David S. Miller

2009-01-28sparc64: Move generic PCR support code to seperate file.David S. Miller
It all lives in the oprofile support code currently and we will need to share this stuff with NMI watchdog and perf_counter support. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
