2018-01-06local.conf.sample: Weakly set BB_DISKMON_DIRSkrogothRichard Purdie
For various reasons we need to be able to set and override this from auto.conf on our test infrastructure. We have tried forcing the variable but this then breaks other selftests. In the interests of not complicating things further and needing to modify the tests across releases, weaken the default assignment. Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>

2016-07-22toaster: toasterconf.json Remove master releaseBelen Barros Pena
With the move to python3 completed in master, Toaster 2.1 no longer builds the master branch. This patch removes the master release from the Yocto Project toaster configuration file so that the master branch is not listed as an option to select when creating a project. 2016-04-02poky: Exclude DATE from DISTRO/SDK_VERSION checksumsRichard Purdie
DATE is in HASHCONFIG_WHITELIST which means the server does not reparse when DATE changes. If DISTRO_VERSION was used somewhere and contained DATE, the value *would* change however, meaning the server and worker checksums could end up differing. We therefore exclude DATE from the checksums, making everything consistent. Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2016-03-31yocto-bsp: Set correct default branches and branches base for i386, qemu and ↵Humberto Ibarra
x86_64 archs Kernel recipes for linux-yocto_4.* and greater have outdated branches as default, making it impossible to find the right branch if the user picks the default value. The branches_base property uses these outdated branches also. This updates standard/common-pc and standard/common-pc-64 branches to standard/base. The fix was tested using 'yocto-bsp create' with each one of the following archs: -i386 with kernels 4.1 and 4.4 -x86_64 with kernels 4.1 and 4.4 -qemu (i386 and x86_64) with kernels 4.1 and 4.4 After the layer was created, it was added to local.conf and the MACHINE was set accordingly. 'bitbake linux-yocto' ran successfully with each configuration tested. 2016-03-31scripts, lib: Don't limit traceback lengths to arbitrary valuesRichard Purdie
There appears to have been a lot of copy and pasting of the code which prints tracebacks upon failure and limits the stack trace to 5 entries. This obscures the real error and is very confusing to the user it look me an age to work out why some tracebacks weren't useful. This patch removes the limit, making tracebacks much more useful for debugging. [YOCTO #9230] Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>

2016-02-28meta-yocto: Rename to meta-poky to better match its purposeRichard Purdie
"poky" is the reference distribution for the Yocto Project. This renames the layer within the meta-yocto repository to meta-poky, better matching what that layer contains. A layer.conf file is left behind as this is the only way which allows existing builds to migrate safely to the new name. It will be removed at some future point. This change requires the corresponding OE-Core change to handle the migration and the changes to the infrastructure to support this. Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>

2016-02-14poky: Disable static libs by defaultRichard Purdie
Static libraries are old technology. We've left them around since in previous tests, they only added around 5% to the overall build time. With new and interesting uses of OE, they're becoming more problematic. For example, sstate becomes much larger with static libs enabled which increases the size of eSDK and increases the time taken for sstate operations. Since the static libs contain all the debugging symbols, they're also pretty huge. Therefore use the common include which enables this from OE-Core.
